In the sheltered simplicity of the first days after a baby is born, one sees again the magical closed circle, the miraculous sense of two people existing only for each other. ~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh
At Jessica Booton Photography, we believe capturing the essence of your newborn is special and unlike anything else.
A new baby brings with it so many emotions and overwhelming feelings. Time is swift and no one wants to miss this precious time. Jessica Booton, with her husband, are parent's of eight children. She understands both the overwhelming feelings and intense love that accompanies this time in life.
At Jessica Booton Photography, we make this process as easy as possible for you, which is why we come to you. No, you do not have to leave home, and no you do not need to make sure it looks like perfection (Rest and snuggling are the most important things in the first weeks home with a newborn). All we care about are the treasured portraits we will help create and share with your family.
There are a couple of things about newborn portraits you need to know. The best time to photograph a newborn is between 5 to 7 days after birth. We will try to schedule around their nap time and will ask you to try to keep them awake for several hours prior to your session and then feed them very well while we set up and get things ready. Last but not least, we know that newborns run on their own schedule. Often, this is a "wait and be patient" process.
We will review other noteworthy items when we meet with you for your newborn consultation before your delivery.
